How to use
○ Korea-related materials in Hungary
The National Library of Korea digitally collects and provides Korea-related materials in Hungary. The subject institutions for collection are the National Archives of Hungary in Budapest, the local branch in Pest and Baranya and the Semmelweis Museum.
Initially, 800 pages of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade’s Tokyo and Beijing diplomatic missions materials and 800 pages of the Ministry of Health of Hungary were collected on a trial basis among the archival records held by the main building of the National Archives of Hungary.
Since then, the collection has been expanded and a total of 17,000 pages of Korea-related data have been collected. Among the archival records held by the main building of the National Archives of Hungary, documents related to Hungarian health and welfare, party, cabinet, state-to-state agreement(contract), internal affairs, central government organization, presidential committee and economy were mainly collected. While some of the materials of the chairman of the state parliament have been collected from the National Archives of Hungary in Fest, a local branch, documents of the state party organization, parliament and unit organizations have been collected from the National Archives of Hungary in Burrenyeo. Also, from the Semmelweis Museum, the NLK has digitized and collected the records of Hungarian medical corps dispatched during the Korean War.
For the materials collected from Hungary, the subject institutions for collection were divided into documents Record Groups and Series according to the production institution.
