웹자원 아카이브(OASIS)에 보존 되어 있는 웹 기록을 통해 과거의 디지털 경험을 소환하는 여정(웹+레트로)을 시작한다.
오아시스를 소개하며 오아시스에 접속한다.
1부‘오아시스 이해 : 디지털 타임캡슐’공간으로 오아시스의 수집 현황, 추진 경과, 발전 방향을 소개한다.
웹 보존의 필요성과 주요국의 웹 아카이브 현황, 전 세계 협력 활동(IIPC)을 보여준다.
2부‘웹 탐험 : 사라진 웹 불러오기’공간으로 오아시스 디지털 타임캡슐에 보존되어 있는 웹 자원을 탐험하는 시간이다.
우리나라 재난사를 시간순으로 한눈에 보여주는 오아시스의 재난 아카이브 테이블이다.
야후코리아, 아이러브스쿨 등 사라진 과거의 웹사이트를 직접 불러오는 체험을 해볼 수 있다.
공공기관 변천사, K-문화예술 등 오아시스 주요 컬렉션을 슬라이드 영상으로 보여준다.
3부‘레트로 체험 : Y2K 시간여행’공간으로 오아시스 타임머신을 타고 시간여행을 체험한다.
오아시스의 스포츠 아카이브 연혁과 우리나라 주요 경기 영상을 대형스크린에서 감상한다.
2000년대 감성 공간으로 타임슬립하는 공간이다.
2000년대 인기 BGM 음악을 그 당시 MP3로 감상해본다.
2000년대 인기를 끌었던 스타크래프트 게임의 초기 버전을 체험할 수 있다.
추억의 미니룸 공간에서 사진을 찍고 CD를 틀며 디지털 방명록을 남긴다.
4부‘확장된 미래 : 2050년으로 접속’공간으로 오아시스의 미래 영상과 오아시스를 모티브로 하는 웹 아트 작품을 감상할 수 있다.
웹과 장치의 변화를 보여주는 미디어아트 작품이다.
MZ작가들이 참여하여 완성한 웹 아트 세 작품을 선보인다.
오아시스의 미래 모습 영상을 대형스크린에서 감상할 수 있다.
디지털 문화유산 보존의 가치를 알리며 시간 여행을 마친다.
전시 퀘스트 및 럭키드로우 참여 통해 다양한 기념품을 제공한다.

Oasis 20th Anniversary Special Exhibition (2024.10.14.~12. 8.)


The National Library of Korea hosted the special exhibition "Webtro: Digital Memory" from October 14 (Mon) to December 8 (Sun), 2024, in the main building's first-floor exhibition hall.

To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Oasis (Online Archiving & Searching Internet Sources, OASIS), South Korea's only web preservation project, which began in 2004, the exhibition introduced domestic websites and web resources collected over the past 20 years through Oasis. These are showcased by theme and era.

The exhibition begins by accessing Oasis, a digital time capsule for web preservation, and is divided into four main sections:

  1. Section 1: Understanding Oasis - Digital Time Capsule introduces the background of Oasis's creation, its current status, and international cooperation activities.
  2. Section 2: Web Exploration - Summoning Lost Webs revives past websites that have disappeared (such as Yahoo Korea, I Love School, etc.), and explores Korea’s disaster archives and thematic collections.
  3. Section 3: Retro Experience - Y2K Time Travel offers visitors a time travel experience into the 2000s, through a sports time machine zone and a nostalgic mini-room photo zone.
  4. Section 4: Extended Future - Connecting to 2050 allows visitors to experience a futuristic space, with videos about the future of Oasis and various web media art.

Various souvenirs are given to exhibition visitors, and digital guestbook entries made during the exhibition will be permanently preserved in Oasis.
