The National Library of Korea held the 2024 Data Conference on Tuesday, the 24th, at 1:30 PM in the international conference hall. The conference was themed "In the Age of AI, Rethinking the Library as a Data Center."


The event was held to explore the role of libraries as data hubs in the rapidly changing AI society. It brought together experts and stakeholders from various fields to share the latest knowledge and visions.


Professor Maeng Seong-hyun from KAIST gave a lecture on "The Coming AGI Era, The Changes and Responses."

Kim Gwang-lim, a Machine Learning Engineer at Naver Cloud, presented on "AI Technology and Knowledge Cultural Resources."

Lee Jae-ho, Senior Researcher at the Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute, spoke on "Regional Community Data Centers and Public Libraries."

Kim Su-jeong, Director of a Division at the National Library of Korea, presented on "National Knowledge and Cultural Resource Data Center: The National Library of Korea."
