From September 29 to 30, National Library of Korea of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism held 2022 Librarians’ Gathering Workshop at Jeju Nanta Hotel. Librarians Gathering held every fall is an event where library staff across the country gather, share library onsite best practices and communicate with each other.
Especially, 2022 Librarians’ Gathering Video Contents Contest award winning contents(12) were shown, onsite vote and award ceremony was held.
Award winning contents
- Grand prize (Hwang In-kyung of Naju Public Library)
- Gold prize (Soobong Library)
- Silver prize (Song Ji-young, Mapo Central Library)
- Bronze prize (Park Hyo-joo, Park Tae-jeong, Lee Jae-sun, Go Chang-hyeok, Kim Sun-woo of Arirang Children’s Library)
Award winners received NLK Chief Executive prize and an additional prize and their contents will be turned into learning contents and used for librarian training. How a Librarian Uses SNS that shared cases of a librarian using SNS to get close to users was a content which many viewers could relate to.
To bond with librarians who participated in the event and relieve stress caused due to provision of service to the public, various programs are held such as (special lecture) Relationships Need Distancing Too(Kwon Soo-young, professor of Yonsei University), (Cultural lecture) Non-verbal Musical Nanta and (Mind Healing) Healing by Finding Myself, Colortherapy.
