On July 27(Wed) 3pm, the National Library of Korea held the Meet the Author event at the International Conference Hall, inviting professor Park Soong-hyeon. Professor Park Soong-hyeon, a senior researcher of Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology Korea Polar Research Institute, is conducting research on the secret of earth hidden in deep sea, starting from Onnuri vessel of Korea to research vessels of countries around the world. He gathers attention from earth scientists of the world as he discovered hydrothermal vents of the south pole central ridge and a new kind of hydrothermal living creature for the first time in 2015. At the lecture, professor Park Soong-hyeon discussed about climate change, focusing on the author’s book 「The South Pole is Calling」.
