Continued library service through flexible operation in response to covid-19

- Early establishment of online library reservation system(PC, mobile) (first half of 2020)

* Telephone reservation is also available for users unable to use the internet(older people etc.)

- Flexible adjustment of the number of users for library reservation and reading room seats

- Flexible working (working from home, staggered office hours etc.) for stable library service during covid-19 pandemic

No confirmed cases of covid-19 in library for 300 days after covid-19 outbreak

- Establishment and application of prevention & response plan as the library was reopened (first half of 2020)

Electronic library check in (QR code) system has been developed and the use of masks is required in the library

Temperature checks are administered and drinking in the library is banned

- User path is separated from staff member path

- Book sterilizer, hand sanitizer etc. are provided and the inside and outside area of the library is disinfected regularly



Covid-19 response strategy established and shared with 20,032 libraries in Korea

Digital materials home service campaign

- Copyright permission campaign(getting consent from copyright owners to use the owners’ creative

material) launched for users to use NLK’s 1.1 million digitized materials from home

76 online exhibitions held to meet culture demand in a non face-to-face era
