As the main building is under construction for replacing and improving entire old interior facilities to secure safety and a comfortable environment, the main building's temporary closing days, regular closing days etc. have been changed.
- The main building is closed during March - August 2018
- Open floors : during the closing period, resource rooms will be open once construction is completed
5th floor : open from May 1 2018
3rd - 4th floor : open from July 2018
1st - 2nd floor : open from August
※ The closing period can be adjusted in accordance with the construction schedule
- Closing period extension : every second and fourth Monday → every Monday
※ Facilities including the Digital Library and cafeteria etc. are open as before

  • Main Building: Every Monday (Apr. '17 - Nov. '18)
    Digital Library: Every 2nd and 4th Monday of the month
  • The library is open on Sundays but closed during national holidays and Sundays within Lunar New Year's holiday and Korean Thanksgiving Day periods
  • Days deemed necessary by the Chief Executive of the Library for specific reasons

Entrance and Procedure

  • Anyone aged 16 and above wishing to use materials housed in the library for the purpose of reading, survey, and/or research can enter the library.
    (Those under age 16 must fill in an Underage Special Request Form to gain entrance)
  • Store your personal belongings in the locker room except your valuables and writing materials.
  • User Registration (Homepage registration) > Apply for a Library Card > Get the Library Card > Enter the Gate > Use the Library > Return the Library Card upon Departure
  • Types of Library Cards
    • One-day Library Card: Issued before use and returned after use
    • Regular-use Library Card: Carried by user

After-hours Service

  • The after-hours service (available during 18:00-22:00) is available for users who cannot visit the Library during regular opening hours.
    * The after-hours service is not available during the Main Building closing period.
      (The Main Building is closed during Feb. 13 - Mar. 27, 2017 and Mar. 1 - Apr. 30, 2018.)

In the Library Materials in each resource room 09:00 - 18:00 Use a "Book loan & return machine" in resource rooms to use the materials (in library use only). Submitting a separate request of after-hours service is not necessary to use the materials (in library use only). Continue to use the materials at the Information Service Room (1F).
